Ok, so, I don't like to wear socks. My feet feel like they are trapped in them. I know - I have issues. Part of having issues is recognizing them, yes? My kids don't like to wear socks either. Socks are probably the bane of my family. My spectrum kid hates seams, hates heels, the socks fall down, the elastic is too tight on her calf - the list goes on and on for her. My other kids aren't nearly as picky, but many of my kids have solved the "toe seam" dilemma by just wearing the socks inside out. but wearing socks inside out sometimes backfires, so our sock dilemmas continue.
From their website:
SmartKnitKIDS®patented seamless socks are perfect for children experiencing sensory processing differences, hypersensitivity or who simply can’t stand annoying seams! These super soft socks for sensitive little feet will not wrinkle or bunch and are proven to reduce irritation.
So. Hmm. How did they work?
When we tried SmartKnit Kids Seamless Sensitivity Socks we were sent a couple of pairs of XL for three of my kids to try out - and they all wear different size shoes. One is a 13, one is a 2 and one is a 4. I wondered how I'd pick who could try them. No problem. One of the great things about these socks is the lack of heel. It kind of sounds strange, but there is no heel in the sock, meaning that it is flexible for multiple sizes. It just becomes a bit shorter, the bigger the foot. You can wear these socks longer, which makes them a better deal. I LOVE that. But how did the kids like them?
My kids LOVED these socks. Comments ranged from, "They are so soft!" to "Warm and cuddly!" to "The best sliding socks ever!" Um, maybe, disregard the last. My little girls who HATE to wear socks to bed wore them all night long. They don't wrinkle, they don't roll down, they don't slide down in the shoes - they just STAY there. Gabriel commented that at the end of the school day, his feet are usually sweaty - but with these socks, "It's like magic or something, Mom - where does the sweat go? My feet are dry and comfy!"
These socks were an enormous hit. I have already ordered TEN more pairs of these suckers.
If you've got sock issues, or your kids are on the spectrum, these would be the perfect socks for you.
